I followed this build, however I replaced the sheragi anti missile with Shield disruptor turrets, and put the cloaking device from the main quest on there too. You've got decent shield and moderate hull regen, and, though a bit slower, the boosted reverse thrust and improved turning should make it feel a lot more agile in general. Still probably not amazing, but I'd call it a start if you want a more enjoyable-to-fly version of the starting configuration. IIRC, this should all fit while also allowing you to remove the outfit expansions, so if you don't choose to do that, you'll have even more space to work with.

It's slower, but turns a lot faster, and your reverse thrust is basically doubled, so it handles like a much lighter ship.Īlso, swap out the Battery for a Large System Core(you probably still need a little extra power to comfortably use the Dragonflame, so Coalition Batteries or Crystal Capacitors), exchange those heavy, slow-firing Sheragi anti-missile turrets for a single Point Defense(or a couple of Wanderer Antimissiles, if you really want to fill both turret slots) and the cooling system for some Large Heat Shunts and a couple of Fuel Processors. Try swapping out the Fusion Drive for twin White Sun reactors(depending on where you are with the Wanderers IIRC, Blue Sun + Yellow Sun is a little better), twin Smelter Thrusters, and Bufaer Steering(plus a basic hyperdrive).
